Python is installed on the Linux cluster. Our lab classroom, Olin 124, is open until 11 pm daily. When there is a class in Olin 124, you can work in Olin 228 upstairs.
If you like, you can install Python on your own computer
so that you can try examples from the textbook or work on your homework anywhere.
On your own computer, download and install the free Anaconda Python distribution from Continuum Analytics. Download the appropriate installer for your computer: Windows, Mac, or Linux. Be sure to use Python version 3.5 (not Python 2.7). Or, here is a local copy (Mac, Windows) that might download faster and conserve bandwidth.
Professor Schueller has kindly provided videos that demonstrate how to install Anaconda Python on Mac and Windows.
If you need help, you can ask Math & CS Technical Specialist Dustin Palmer, whose office is Olin 126 next to our classroom.
